Introduction to Coc Ly commune 

Coc Ly is a commune in Bac Ha town, Lao Cai province. In the language of the indigenous people, Coc Ly means “plum root”. Although it is not clear why this place has such a name as the name Coc Ly, it clearly contains many interesting things. The journey into Coc Ly commune takes you across majestic roads, one side is the same cliffs, and the other side is the blue winding river. The deeper you go into the commune, the more flexible the beautiful scenery changes, opening up before your eyes green valleys, winding terraced fields, or beautiful rows of sandalwood trees. 

Coming to Coc Ly commune, do not miss the opportunity to walk around the villages and visit the homes of brocade-making households. Indigenous people produce very beautiful towels and clothes that visitors can buy as gifts for relatives and friends. You can ask people in the village to find the best places to buy goods at the most affordable prices.

Transport to Coc Ly commune 

This is a highland commune about 18 km from the center of Bac Ha town. To get to Coc Ly commune, visitors follow the provincial road 153 and cross the Bac Ha heaven gate to the southwest.
