    Description

    Entertainment in Kon Bring Village

Gong festival is a festival held annually in the provinces with gong culture in the Central Highlands. The festival is held to promote the image of Gong cultural space in Kon Bring village in particular and the Central Highlands in general. It has been recognised by UNESCO as an oral and intangible heritage of humanity. It is not only an important event for the people of the Central Highlands but also for the country of Vietnam. In the festival, artisans of the provinces will present and perform the cultural space of their nation and province. The Central Highlands gong festival usually takes place from March and lasts until the end of December every year, but there is no fixed time. Each year, the festival is held at different times and alternates between 5 provinces of the Central Highlands, including: Dak Lak. Lam Dong, Kon Tum, Dak Nong and Gia Lai.

Visitors also have the opportunity to return to the communal house yard after visiting the village to enjoy the cultural program performed by the Kon Pring village gong team. The sound of gongs will begin to sound, from the floor of the communal house, a group of barefoot women dancing slowly come out to the beat, their hands swinging while their dances reenact scenes of production and daily life of people. The group of men beat the gong while following the group of women, everyone formed a circle, walking around the fire.
